You made a damn good-looking hatchback, but then instead of giving us the hatch part, you left us with a tiny piece of glass to function in it’s place!
Look at that clearance height... Doggo would need a step ladder unless I wanted her to thrash all the paint getting in. The cargo capacity is barely over 15 cubic feet which was a little shocking. Also the lack of middle seat, plus that gap... Just an odd choice.
The tC looks like a much less painful entry, but the low roof has me worried. Only half a cubic foot less than the C30 for cargo. Doggo would have plenty of room to lie down, but hmm...
You know what, forget everything. I’m going back to looking at pickups.
Oh that’s right — good used T100s and Tacomas are actually more expensive that tCs and C30s!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It was once down to this or a Fit for my wife. She liked the C30 better, but trusted a Honda more. The Honda part had nothing to do with me. I wanted her to get a B5 S4 Avant in Nogaro Blue. I think we can see which one of us is the sensible one. In my defense the Audi was a CPO with a warranty. The Fit was great, it made me like Hondas again after the 7th and 8th gen Civics were so un-Honda.
We are lucky we did not get the C30 because we had a baby about a year after this and I don’t think a rear facing seat would’ve fit.

It will get fixed regardless, but I am always window-shopping. Have two ancient cars will eventually come to a head.

Clearly you need a Miata

Nonono, you see the idea is to get something MORE passenger-oriented than the longbed.

I can’t afford a P1800 in that condition...

How have I gone this long not knowing that the tC is a liftback. I feel like I’ve entered a parallel universe where everything is the same except Scion tCs are liftbacks.

You do realize the only logical solution for you is a Nissan EXA, right?

I think they were just showcasing the glass hatch lineage. Also:
This concept would have served you better:

Just get a pre-2009 Fit. Lots of space, big hatch, made in Japan.

Now I’m not a huge fan of these, but what about a Mazda 3 hatch? Rust is really the only issue I can think of, and if you look hard enough you can find one without it. Everyone I know who owns one loves it.

Can confirm. Most useless of the hatches. But it looks so damn good.

But Doggo counts as passenger, right? Just remove the passenger seat and let Doggo sit or lay down on the floorboard.
I know, you’ll say “but what if I want to bring other people as well as Doggo?,” but then I’d tell you that you don’t have your priorities straight, plus other people can just drive their own Miatas.
